Niche.com recently released a list of the best towns to raise a family in California, with Redwood City making the list at #16. These rankings were calculated based on a number of factors: crime and safety, education, access to libraries, community, housing, residents 35-44 years old, residents 9 years old and under, access to day cares, and access to grocery stores. Of these factors, Redwood City received an A grade in education, community, access to day cares, and access to grocery stores.

With a bustling downtown area always hosting large events for the community, such a great police department and fire department, an award winning library system -- all within close proximity, it is no wonder that Redwood City makes the cut.

What do you think makes this city such a great place to raise a family?
